Most of the low cost airlines allow passengers to book seats on flights twice a year. Usually summer seats are avalible from late December and winter seats in July. The sooner you book,the less money you pay.

Budget airlines mostly operate a 'first come first served' so if you know when you're likely to want to travel you should book as soon as possible.
The best way to book is over the Internet.

Most of the Spains cities are serviced by at least one low cost airlines, there are of course scheduled flights offered by other airlines such as BA and Iberia.
